AQUCAR™ DB-5

(Dow Chemical)

 Technical Sheet

A non-ionic, non-oxidizing, DBNPA-based microbiocide. Works well on slime-forming bacteria. It kills rapidly but is quickly hydrolyzed at high pH levels. Use with other biocides to effectively control algae.

 Technical Sheet

A glutaraldehyde-based, non-foaming, non-flammable, halogen-free biocide for both cooling systems and air washer systems. Especially effective against sulfate-reducing bacteria with good biofilm penetration. Has shown to provide effective control of Legionella and algae in the laboratory.

BELLACIDE® 355

(BWA Water Additives)

 Technical Sheet

A highly active, low-dosage biocide which is effective against aerobic & anaerobic bacteria, algae, and fungi. Synergistically effective when used with an oxidizing biocide. MUST be fed with a chemical metering pump (No hand, slug feeding). Product is not compatible with PVC or CPPVC pumping materials.

BROMMAX® 7.1

(minimum of 4 oz. per 1000 gallons of system capacity to achieve 4-10 ppm residual bromine)

 Technical Sheet

Oxidizing liquid, single-feed bromine biocide composed of stabilized bromine chloride. It is also used to control and penetrate biofilm deposits in pumps, pipes, heat exchangers, and filters in industrial systems.

TOWERBROM® 90M TABLETS

(Occidental Chemical)

Usage Rate:
(0.2-0.7 lbs. per 1000 gallons of system capacity to achieve 1 ppm total chlorine)

 Technical Sheet

A brominated/chlorinated isocyanurate. An economical solid product in tablet form (3″ pucks) used as an oxidizing biocide.
